ST. PAUL, Minn., April 29, 2019 -- Lake Monster Brewing announces the release of its latest canned beer, True Story Pale Ale. The beer, which is currently on draft at the Lake Monster Tap Room, will begin distribution April 29 in 12-oz. cans in a 15-pack case.

True Story is Lake Monster’s first canned beer to be released in 15-pack cases. Past can releases have been sold as six and 12-packs.

“True Story is meant for sharing with good company,” said Lake Monster co-founder and operations manager, Matt Zanetti. “The 15-pack case makes it the perfect go-to craft beer for parties and weekends at the lake.”

First released as a draft-only brew in March, True Story Pale Ale is a balanced, easy-drinking ale brewed with a complex blend of Centennial, Citra and Amarillo hops and grains. With a 5.0 percent ABV and 45 IBUs, True Story delivers a punch of juicy, citrus flavor with a clean, malt finish.

“We wanted to make something accessible while maintaining the complex flavor profile our beers are known for,” said Lake Monster head brewer, Matt Lange. “The end result was the perfect beer for beer enthusiasts and novices alike.”

In addition to the 15-pack release, True Story will be the sixth draft beer made available year-round at the Lake Monster tap room. Other year-round drafts include Como Claw Pilsner (formerly Calhoun Claw Pilsner), Empty Rowboat IPA, Blood Orange IPA, Murmur Milk Stout, and Last Fathom Wild Rice Lager.
